Joining online are Lena Marie Glaser, author and founder and managing director of the “Basically innovative” Future Lab for New Work in Vienna, and Raphael Gielgen, Future of Work trend scout at the Swiss design furniture manufacturer Vitra. Together with host Diana Panzirsch, they talk about how, based on their observations, workplaces and the working world in general could be designed in the future so that employees feel good and enjoy working. At the beginning of the episode, the home office is discussed as the office of the future. The guests talk about the choices that employees should have in the future in order to feel comfortable at a workplace. Generally speaking, not only physical aspects, such as the design and furnishing, but also aspects of well-being, such as the need for community and emotional connection, should be considered. It also becomes clear that, along with physical changes, the future of work primarily requires a cultural transformation. Raphael Gielgen talks about different levels of maturity in different cultural areas. Lena Marie Glaser emphasises the increasing importance of participation and the right of employees to have a say in order to involve them more and to create a meaningful working environment.
